The Cinevate CIRAAS000019 Proteus is a quick release base plate system that includes the CIRAAS000014 Universal Dog Bone, the Proteus Shorty link kit and a Manfrotto 501 sliding plate which works with the Manfrotto 501 and 503 tripod heads.

The Proteus base plate ejects straight up and offers a multitude of configurations, none of which protrude below the rails. Height, XY adjustment, rake angle and placement of the rails blocks are all variable. The base plate is also the basis of our shoulder support system. If you are using a Manfrotto 323 RC2 or a Manfrotto 516 plate, the Proteus base plate system adjusts to fit.
