Fitting and operating
1) The DV-EX1 supplies power to the camera via the DC-in socket. Before physically attaching the adaptor to the camera, plug the DC plug from the DV-EX1 adaptor into the back of the camera.
2) The body of the DV-EX1 connects to the camera via the battery port. Fitting is just like inserting a regular Sony BPU battery. Once presented to camera battery contacts, slide the adaptor until in clicks into place. To release, use the camera ‘battery release’ function.
3) The adaptor is compatible with Sony NP-F type batteries. The DV-EX1 will only operate with two batteries inserted. For optimum operation we recommend that both batteries used are of a similar charge level.
4) Operating the power switch on the DV-EX1 will supply current to the camera and both the Hirose and D-Tap power outputs. It will also display the charge status of the two batteries connected via an LED indicator.
